Detroit • New Pontian Greek Organization Forming
If you are a descendant of Greeks from what is today northern Turkey, chances are you are a Pontian.
We are looking for all Pontians and their spouces in the metro Detroit to form our organization called
Panagia Soumela Detroit.
Some of the activities we plan to have are:
- Dinner Dances
- Conventions with Pontians from around the United States and Canada
- A youth group
- Youth conventions
At our conventions we will learn about Pontian history, Pontian dialect, and Pontian dances
